A chain has a lot of ways to go wrong. It can kink, catch hair, twist at the clasp or simply be the wrong length for the people who wear it. We spent most of this year on one chain.
The Thread Chain uses a flat link that lies against the skin rather than rolling. The clasp is a small lobster claw, sized so it can be opened with one hand. Length was tested on a dozen friends with different necklines until most of them stopped adjusting it.
It is not a dramatic piece. That is the point. We wanted a chain that disappears into a day and is still there at the end of it.
